What does $6.00 get you?
First off…I think moneysavingmom is awesome! Check out her site here.
Let me start you off with what happened, oh…about a month ago. Jonathan and I (along with the girls in one of those too big to turn grocery carts with the huge car at the end to hold your munchkins) were at Kroger and we saw a woman whose cart was FULL of stuff and she had this binder that was overloaded with coupons. She told us the secret was to go buy the double packs of papers on Saturday and get the coupons. If you buy 4 single packs it’s 8 dollars (learned that the hard way today), but 2 double packs are 6 dollars. Anyway, that is when it started. I went out and bought the baseball card plastic sleeves and papers and went to town. I didn’t really get too much into it until last week. I went to CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, and Albertson’s. My total before coupons for all four places: $164; total after coupons and card savings: (drumroll please)…I’ll wait….$64! Now, you are probably going, “Yes, but you probably didn’t get very much.” But I got a lot of FREE stuff all thanks to my coupons. I have 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners…for FREE, 2 Suave deodorants FREE, 4 McCormick Grill Mates Steak Seasoning: FREE, 4 packs of Angel soft toilet paper FREE, 4 Softsoap soaps FREE, and Pine Sol for 99 cents! Let’s see…I bought a Quattro Shaver/Trimmer for 8.99, used my 4.00 coupon and made it 4.99, then got back 5 dollars in Walgreens Register Rewards to use on a future purchace making this fabulous razor FREE. I also got two huge bottles of Nivea body wash for 99 cents each. Then I got a super awesome deal on Johnson and Johnson baby stuff…no, I’m not pregnant, but my BFF will be one day and I’m already stocking up on stuff for me to make a super awesome fantastic goody basket for her.
Yes, I had to sit there and cut coupons for 30 minutes and had TONS of paper to recycle, but I am starting to have a stockpile of stuff. YEAH!
