Summer is fun, isn’t it?
So, summer is off and running. This summer is different in the fact that my husband is home to spend it with me. He will soon be starting college and is working on finding a job, but I’m enjoying the time I have with him ![]()
First summer activity was heading to the Dallas Zoo.

Jonathan was such a trooper because he had caught the bug I had earlier that week and he was feeling really, really bad.

The next big thing for me this summer was going to Austin for a kindergarten conference with my BFF.
Amy followed us there since she was not going back to McKinney afterwards but going to float the river instead:

The funniest part was getting to the hotel. We were pulling up to our hotel when I spotted this:

I yelled out “Pappasito’s! It’s Wednesday…HALF PRICE FAJITAS!” and we missed the ONLY entrance to the hotel…so my excitement caused us to get back on the ramp and make a u-turn. It was double excitement because we could have “beverages” and be in walking distance of the hotel.
It was a LOT of fun and I learned SO much, but my family was very excited to see me when we got back.
Since we were gone that Friday to Austin, Fun Friday was delayed to Sunday where we went to Celebration Park. Oh what a difference a year makes…this time last year, our girls would not go NEAR the water. Check ‘em out this year ![]()

I think Garrett got Ryan to go under the buckets…haha!

Jonathan was water fighting with another child

Caitlyn throwing a fit due to a bug bite

Then finally, Faith noticed that Jonathan’s skin was peeling on his back and she was helping him out a bit

Then finally, we ended the day at Sonic for Happy Hour (so I could have a Diet Strawberry Mango Limeade)

Can’t wait to see what activity is in store for us next. I still have a To Do List:
*Make chart stand
*Writing folders done and ready to laminate
*type notes from Austin
*Sort magnetic letters in new drawer from Walmart
*Finish file folder games
*buy stuff for my calendar wall and figure out a plan of action for my word wall now
